The name ClaraSana comes from the Latin words

"clara", meaning clarity, and "sana", meaning health.

Together, these words speak to the heart of the clinic’s philosophy: bringing understanding to a time of change, and supporting health with care that is calm, informed and compassionate.

ClaraSana Women’s Health was created to offer clarity when things feel uncertain, and to support women through perimenopause and menopause with respect, evidence and genuine care.

Introducing Dr Susana Rodriguez

Founder & Medical Director

Dr Susana graduated in 2003 from the prestigious University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, after completing eight years of rigorous study in medical technology, medicine and surgery. She gained broad hospital experience before relocating to the UK in 2005.

There, she worked at St Mary’s Hospital in London as well as hospitals across Cheshire, Dorset, and Hampshire, practising as a doctor in the UK for 10 years and completing her General Practice training within the NHS.

During this period she also completed her post graduate diploma in Clinical Dermatology which was awarded with distinction by Queen Mary University of London.

In 2015, Dr Susana moved to Australia and she continues to hold her well-established General Practice clinic at Brighton Beach Medical Centre. She provides comprehensive care to a large number of long-term patients from across Perth’s northern suburbs, with many travelling from further afield.

Alongside her GP work, Dr Susana has provided specialist medical support to a dedicated medical hair clinic on a weekly basis since 2015. In this role, she has helped manage a wide range of hair loss conditions in both men and women of all ages, using fully approved, evidence-based treatments.

Dr Susana is now a proud member of the Australasian Menopause Society, a commitment that complements her broader clinical experience and allows her to offer genuinely holistic care to women at all life stages. She is known for building strong, supportive relationships with her patients and for delivering care that is both professional and approachable.

Dr Susana is fluent in both English and Tagalog, is actively involved in the local community, and warmly welcomes patients from all backgrounds.

A personalised approach to menopause care

Every woman’s experience of menopause is different. Some seek support for specific symptoms, while others want a broader plan for wellbeing through midlife and beyond. ClaraSana offers thoughtful, personalised menopause care that considers symptoms, health history, lifestyle and personal priorities, helping women make informed and confident decisions about their health.

Experience in skin and hair health

Hormonal change can influence skin, hair and overall physical comfort in ways that can be overlooked in traditional menopause care. ClaraSana integrates understanding of skin health and hair and scalp changes into menopause assessment and treatment planning, supporting both wellbeing and confidence through this life stage. We believe that these concerns deserve careful attention alongside other menopause-related symptoms.

Supporting women through midlife and beyond

Needs evolve from early perimenopause and menopause through the years after menopause. ClaraSana provides continuity of menopause care, helping women adapt treatment and lifestyle approaches as health priorities change over time. The focus is always on comfort, function, confidence and long-term health.

ClaraSana Women’s Health was founded on the belief that menopause and perimenopause care should be calm, considered and grounded in good medical evidence.

From the beginning, the clinic was designed as a space where women could feel heard, supported and given time to understand the changes they may be experiencing.

Choosing menopause care is personal, and feeling understood and supported matters. ClaraSana provides compassionate, evidence-informed menopause care in Perth, supporting women through symptoms, treatment decisions and long-term wellbeing.
