Choosing the right menopause consultation
Appointments at ClaraSana Women’s Health are offered in different time lengths so you can choose the level of support that feels right for you. Selecting the appropriate length helps ensure your concerns can be explored fully and comfortably, without feeling rushed.

Choosing the right consultation length depends on whether you are new to the clinic, the number of concerns you would like to discuss and how much review or planning may be needed. Many women prefer a longer appointment when first attending so there is time to understand their health history and priorities in a relaxed and thorough way.

For new patients, we usually recommend a 60 minutes initial consultation. Our approach is holistic, taking the time to understand your health history, current symptoms and what matters most to you. This allows for a thoughtful discussion of menopause treatment options, helping to establish a clear, personalised plan from the outset.

If you are a new patient with a very specific, focused concern and do not feel you need a full health overview, a shorter appointment may be appropriate.

For ongoing patients, appointment length is guided by what you would like to cover:
15 minutes
Best suited for established patients needing a brief check-in, prescription renewal, or to discuss one small, specific issue.
30 minutes
Ideal for routine follow-up appointments, often every six months, to review progress, discuss symptoms or adjust an existing plan.
45 minutes
Recommended when there are new concerns, multiple symptoms to explore, or more complex issues that need careful discussion.

60 minutes
The 1-hour consultation option is always available to any of our existing patients who wish to spend more time discussing their health.
If you’re unsure which appointment length to book, choosing a slightly longer option is often helpful. You’re also welcome to contact the clinic for guidance — we’re happy to help you decide.

For our existing ClaraSana patients, if you need a repeat prescription or referral and don’t feel the need to discuss anything with a doctor, you may not require a face-to-face consultation. Please note this service is only available to patients already under our care. If this sounds like you, feel free to call our reception team and we’ll be happy to help.

Preparing for your menopause consultation: Symptom Scorecard
We’ll take time during your consultation to talk through your symptoms, including any hormonal changes and other shifts you may have noticed in recent weeks, so we can build a clear understanding of your experience.

Completing our Symptom Scorecard before your appointment can help you identify what’s been happening and ensures we can focus on what matters most to you. Repeating this before follow-up visits also allows us to monitor progress and adjust your care as needed.

For more information on specific symptoms and what to look for, please take a browse through our RESOURCES pages.
